This Week's Movie: Crank TOO
MUCH LANGUAGE Didn't like the movie. I don't see why some of these movies have to put an F...word for every other word in the movie. To me, that is just ingorance. Josh: What percentage of people on the Earth do you think there are who actually use "ignorant" in the correct manner? I'm guessing three. Three percent. Blood
and Gore I am so sick of movies inciting the violence of man against man. Nothing redeeming about this character. I do not wish to see peoples hands cut off or their brains spattered all over everything. What is it with this country. The movie producers scream and yell about how awful the war is and how awful our President is while they profit thousands of times over by selling violence. Doesn't anyone else see the hypocrisy here. I support the war our country and our president. I do not support wanton violence just for the sake of making a dollar. ***** for brains movie!!! Josh: So, you do support violence and man being pit against man, but just not in the movies. Only in real life where real people are getting killed. Mr. Crazy: Sounds about right to me! Wow
that's bad... With a poster that reminded me of Bad Boys 2 and a trailer that looked like an attempt at Tony Scott, Crank is definitely at the top of my wosrt movies EVER list. Shot on digital, like so many films it was fated to just not look right (the harsh highlights, low latitude, and general aesthetc). Of course, there are exceptions like Star Wars and Collateral, this was not one of them. It looked like a student film with a decent budget. Josh: Too bad you didn't like it -- it sounds like you were all set to enjoy seeing it, and not just to write bad things about it on a public forum using your "filmgrad" handle and dropping names and techniques in a frankly pathetic effort to raise your own obviously low self-esteem, either. Worst
movie I've seen in 27 years of life I should have known by the previews: "SAW III," "Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning," and some comedy that I can't even remember. It's all very telling of a dour, intellectually and creatively devoid society. Josh: Even worse, the previews attached to "Crank" were of the smartest movies scheduled to come out! American society is doomed. Thanks a lot, Saw III. Brothers
Grim Remake Josh: That's right, folks -- no review text necessary, because the title speaks for itself. Crank is obviously a cheap remake of The Brothers Grimm, just like the upcoming "School for Scoundrels", which is based almost entirely on "Saving Private Ryan". VERY
DISAPPOINTING I WAS SO EXPECTING SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF TRANSPORTER BUT WAS SO DISAPPOINTED. NO DIALOG EXCEPT THE F WORD AND NUDITY FOR NO REASON Josh: Out of curiousity, what would be an example of a movie with nudity for a reason? A man's clothes burning off on the set and the director running out of film for the day? GRAND
THEFT AUTO, THE MOVIE!!! It's about time someone in Hollywood made a movie for MOVIE FANS. Josh: It's a nice break from all of the movies made for crochet enthusiasts. slipknot1 this movie was just beautiful i just can't stand the quality of the action all the blood and the guts was beautiful i almost cried when i saw that guys head get kicked in it was it was beautiful but im dying too see jackass 2 Mr. Crazy: Score! Another grrreaat review! Email This Story | Comment On This | Back To Archives
