Analysis: The author of this spam seems to think that we will be tricked into thinking that the attachment contains old letters that we once sent to them, and that our sense of nostalgia will speak up against our better judgment and say, "Ah, we remember those days, when we sent those letters to that person whose email address we don't recognize! We think we'll crack them open -- for old times' sake!"

Also notice a common device for furthering the illusion: the inclusion of "Re:" in the subject line to make it seem like this has been an on-going communication. We guess people with extremely poor memories or chronic drug users might be fooled.
